For bioregionalists, business leaders, conscious entrepreneurs, and changemakers
who sense that the future of business, communities, and governance needs
a bioregional approach rooted in living systems

"Remember how leadership, business, and community can serve the needs of a living bioregion —from the ground up."

A 7–14 day hands-on experience in the Osa Peninsula that fosters the local culture while refining your leadership skills. Come and explore embodied models of regenerative leadership, economy, stewardship, and care, while actively enriching one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth—home to 2.5% of global biodiversity.

The Osa Bioregional Leadership Lab is an intimate setting that invites leaders into living experience of being the change we all talk about.  This is not a conference or a passive retreat. It is an immersive learning journey that invites you to reconnect to what matters most and clarify your next steps as leaders in a rapidly changing world.

The Osa Bioregional Learning Lab also serves as a bridge for leaders visiting Envision, Madremonte, Shanti Wasi retreats, and Blissburn. Offering a grounded, place-based pathway to integrate inspiration into regenerative action.

Hosted by an experienced team of grassroots community weavers, organizers, and contributors.

The Immersion is a carefully held by the Los Higuerones team members and mixes hands-on learning, cultural immersion, place-based wisdom, and inner work. The Los Higuerones community is a mix of locals, and incomers with different skillsets.

From (Indigenous) artists, weavers, teachers, scientifically educated in sustainability and leadership, political promotors, holistic health practitioners, to facilitators in Theory U, Non-violent Communication, NLP, we bridge the different worlds that are living in the Osa..

What you will get

Where you'll stay

On-Site Community Living

For those who wish to fully step into the rhythm of the Lab, we offer family-style living on site—shared sleeping spaces, communal meals, and everyday life together. This option supports:

  • Deeper connection with fellow participants

  • Informal learning through shared moments and conversation

  • A felt sense of community and belonging

  • Simple, grounded, and relational—this is where much of the learning happens between the sessions.

Local Comfort & Privacy

For participants who prefer more personal space, we also arrange stays in nearby Airbnbs or small local hotels, all within easy reach of the Lab. This option is at the participant’s own cost, offering greater privacy while remaining fully integrated in all Lab activities and the shared learning journey.

The Higuerones Coop has a great commitment to the revitalization of the entire Osa Peninsula looking at climate change, the loss of biodiversity, and growing social inequity.

My experience was very gratifying, I thank the Los Higuerones team, for their generosity and love for all the people who came to the Peninsula. Their social leadership is generating a great change in the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica and inspiring many more to join them.
